ACTIVITIES

There are as many activities as hours in the day to keep active travelers busy at Anthony’s Key Resort.

Dolphin Swim

The Roatan Institute of Marine Sciences (RIMS) at AKR offers dolphin swim, snorkel, diving and beach encounters as well educational programs for adults and children. This activity is not included in the package.

Roatan Scuba Diving at AKR

AKR offers diving certification and specialty courses to divers and snorkelers through the resort’s full-service, PADI 5-star dive facility.

AKR free activities at the resort

Kayaking (kayaks are available for all day use).
Horseback Riding (Horseback riding is offered daily. All tours are fully guided).
Escape at Maya Key (a beautiful key with beaches, snorkeling from a scenic pier, swimming pool, 5,000 square foot lounge deck and lush garden with indigenous flora - scheduled once a week).
Volleyball

Nature lovers can enjoy the resort's grounds by land or sea. Hikers love exploring the nature trails at Bailey’s Key and nearby Carambola Gardens.

Of course if all this gets to be too much, lazing in a hammock, one of the resort's more popular activities, is always an option!

Other Activities (not included in the package)

Raft (through the spectacular Nombre de Dios Mountains and a virgin rainforest. Guides will explain river geology, rain forest ecology, and the local campesino culture. Egrets, toucans, kingfishers and parakeets are frequently seen).

Canopy tours (an opportunity to ride above the trees experiencing a unique ecological adventure).

Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge (a five square miles refuge of tropical wet forests, mangroves and estuaries. White- faced capuchins, howler monkeys, caimans, alligators, birds and the endangered West Indian manatee abound here).
